There’s no better way for a kid to spend a summer in Ontario than at summer camp! Choose between one or two weeks, of parent-free, kid-focussed fun with great food, awesome friends, and super friendly staff who are here to help make your time at Sparrow Lake the best it can be! Of course your parents will love the fact that you also get to learn stuff, build strong social skills, spend time in nature - outside the city, and come home with loads of stories to tell.
During your time at camp, you’ll get to try out all of Sparrow Lake Camp’s excellent Activities, eat pudding with your face (spoons are provided, but less fun), play some epic camp-wide games like Quidditch and ‘Phobia’, meet loads of other kids, swim in a real lake, get your clothes dirty, have a campfire, make bracelets, build forts, eat s’mores, camp out, run, paddle, climb, sail, and LOADS more! Your parents can even tune into our online photo gallery to see some of what’s happening, and send you letters to try to convince you to come home.
The daily schedule has time with your cabin-mates in the morning, and then afternoon sessions when you get to focus on the activities YOU want to do. There’s even a free-swim time when you can go for a dip before dinner, or just hang out with friends, or do some crafts. After dinner, there’s always a camp-wide activity where you get to play with the kids from the rest of the camp. It’s not a huge camp, so chances are you’ll get to know lots of other kids, and make some great new friends.
One of the best parts is the bus ride to camp! With stops in Toronto, Vaughn, Okaville/Missisagua, Ajax or Orillia its more time to spend with friends. It’s way better than having to listen to the radio that your dad likes for the whole drive.
*Campers in grades SK-3 (6-9 years old in the camp calendar year) are placed in our ‘Discover’ camp program during one-week or two-week camp sessions. This special ‘camp within a camp’ offers age-appropriate programming, higher staff supervision ratios, and special themes kids love!
