I’m Lily, and I’m reprising my role as Programs Director at Sparrow Lake this year (my second year!) after working at Camp Big Cove previously. You can expect tons of fun this summer; Sparrow Lake Camp has a lot of adventures in store for you! Whether we’re stargazing, competing in fun challenges, or going on an overnight trip, it’s bound to be a laugh. I am so excited to head back to camp and create the best experience for every camper :)

Timothy Takasaki

Hi, my name is Timothy (but everyone calls me Timmy) and I'm working as the Head of WOW this summer. I use He/Him pronouns and I've worked a year + a bit at Sparrow Lake before, and spent 5 years at SLC as a camper. I am currently pursuing a degree in Engineering at Carleton University, and I am also a 1st-Dan black belt in the Itosu-Kai style of Karate. I hope to help campers to enjoy my favorite activity session, and make this summer amazing.

Hi!! I'm Gaby (she/her) and I’m so excited to be back at Sparrow for my third year on staff! I can’t wait to take everyone sailing and hopefully teach you all something new while we’re out on the water (fingers crossed the lake won’t be too cold this year). Looking forward to the best summer ever with so many new friends and new memories!!

Lucy Childerhose

Hi Sparrow Lake! My name is Lucy, and I can’t wait to spend another summer together. I have spent the past 10 summers at overnight camp and can’t imagine growing up any differently. During the year, I live in Halifax and go to Dalhousie University. I love living by the ocean and sailing with Dal. I can’t wait to sail with you all on Sparrow Lake this summer!

Ceramics:

Meg Leslie

Hello, my name is Meg and I am a professional artist and art teacher. During the year, I teach ceramics for the City of Orillia, the MacLaren Art Center in Barrie, the Gardiner Museum in Toronto as well as the Haliburton School for the Arts. I have a diploma in Interior Design, and a certification as a Master Naturalist. As an artist, I work with clients to create unique handmade porcelain backsplashes. I’ve also done some large outdoor mosaic murals using my handmade porcelain tiles and broken plates!

 I am looking forward to another great summer of creativity with you in the treehouse ceramic studio!

Fernanda Pabst

Hello! My name is Fernanda (she/her), and I will be the head of the Arts and Crafts hut again this summer! Crafting is a big part of my life, and in my free time I love to crochet and sew, among other things. I'm so excited to be back for my third year at Sparrow Lake Camp for bracelets, campfires, and more :D
